Things To Do In London During The Festive Period

It is officially Autumn which means Halloween is around the corner. Once Halloween has passed, Christmas is upon us meaning that it is time to get into the festive mood. 

There are many areas in the world you have to visit during the winter period. London is one of those places you need to see. If you are visiting London this holiday season, you can guarantee a good time. Furthermore, there are plenty of things to do in this magical city this time of year.

Ice Skating At The Natural History Museum  

Ice skating during the festive period is something that everyone should do. The best part about this is that you don’t need to be experienced when ice skating. The reason why is you can guarantee there will be more people there who also have little experience. Furthermore, there are many ice rinks around the London City Centre. Nonetheless, this ice rink is one of the most magical you will ever experience. 

Fantastic views of historical buildings including a 30ft tall Christmas tree in the center of the ice rink are something you cannot miss. They also have a cafe that serves hot chocolate, prosecco and cake. Furthermore, if you are not confident in skating, you can sit at the side on the viewing platforms.  

 

Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland

One of the UK’s most famous parks, Winter Wonderland is one of the best places to visit with the little ones. Additionally, this magical Christmas wonderland attracts over 2 million people per year. 

The Winter Wonderland starts on the 19th of November and finishes on January 3rd 2023. It consists of festive markets, over a hundred rides, a giant wheel and live shows. It is a fantastic experience for the family to feel the festive atmosphere when visiting Hyde Park’s winter wonderland. Just park your car at victoria station and hop on the train to Hyde Park. There are plenty of London Victoria Station Parking spots to leave your vehicle so it is the ideal destination for you. 

 

Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens seems to be a hidden gem that only Londoners seem to know of. Kew Gardens is special and puts on a stunning light show display as you wander around the Christmas trail.

The trail is around 2 KM long where you will stroll past a million lights that hang off the tree branches and tunnel of bells. Furthermore, there are festive snacks along the way such as mini doughnuts, marshmallows, cakes, roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate. This wonderful Christmas trail should be at the top of your list.
